The problem
Around a third of Irish households have a dog, and plenty more have a cat. Yet booking somewhere to stay still means ringing ahead, reading four different pages of small print, and hoping the charge you were quoted is the charge you get. Most booking sites offer a single "pets allowed" filter and leave the rest to you, so most of us end up going back to the same place as last year because at least we know the answer.
